Cem Ozdemir and German Bundestag Accept Delivery of 2016 ANCA-WR Freedom Award through EAFJD in Berlin

Los Angeles, CA – Earlier today, European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy (EAFJD) also known as ANC-Europe Chair Kaspar Karampetian and EU Affairs Officer Heghine Evinyan visited Berlin to personally deliver the Armenian National Committee of America – Western Region (ANCA-WR) 2016 Freedom Award to German Parliament Member and Green Party Co-Chair Cem Ozdemir and the entire German Bundestag. Throughout the month of December, the Armenian National Committee of America – Western Region (ANCA-WR) traveled across the United States – from San Diego, Dallas, and Denver to Washington, DC – to educate, motivate and activate local, state and federal leaders and community members. The meetings and events commenced on December 3 when ANCA-WR Education Committee Chair Alice Petrossian, committee members Media Kalognomos and Kay Mouradian, and ANCA-WR Government Affairs Director Tereza Yerimyan, shared the story of the Armenian Genocide and the “America We Thank You” initiative with more than 3,000 educators at the California School Boards Association Conference out in San Diego.
